Champagne's vineyards and Reims Cathedral lead these antique maps and prints of the Marne, with the battlefields of the river close behind. Department maps by Levasseur, Perrot and Vuillemin place Châlons, Épernay and the surrounding villages in their countryside, Baedeker plans concentrate on Reims, and Larmat's wine maps follow the vineyards around Aÿ, Mareuil, Dizy and Damery. The prints show champagne bottling at Pierry, the wine houses of Épernay and Hautvillers, Saint Remi, Vitry-le-François, Sainte-Menehould and Notre-Dame de l'Épine. Campaign maps run from Napoleon's fighting at Champaubert and Montmirail to the First and Second Battles of the Marne.
