Produced by the London County Council to record street renaming and door renumbering orders, each map is drawn in ink on linen paper. These are not merely scarce but genuinely unique: a single working plan was produced for each scheme. Each example is accompanied by the original LCC documentation recording the decision. The maps bear the stamped signature of Laurence Gomme, then Clerk of the Council, who introduced the blue plaque commemorative scheme in 1901.
