TITLE/CAPTION/BRIEF DETAILS: NORWICH CATHEDRAL This famous Norman Cathedral stands in a loop made by the river Wensum, across which this picture was taken. The foundations were laid in the year 1096, in the reign of William Rufus, and building continued until nearly the end of the fifteenth century. Norwich, Norfolk's capital, is a town of great historic interest. Its ancient grammar school had among its pupils the future Admiral Nelson, George Borrow and 'Rajah' Brooke of Sarawak
