The evolution of the London Underground map since Harry Beck

We've just made our first ever YouTube video, a sequenced animation showing the evolution of the iconic London tube map since Harry Beck's first maps in 1933, including the development of both the design of Beck's revolutionary diagrammatic map and of the network itself through to the 21st century. Includes the designs of  Harry Beck himself (maps published 1933-1938 and 1943-1961), those of Hans Schleger (1938-1941), Harold Hutchison (1961-1963), Paul Garbutt (1964-1979), and later maps attributed to London Transport.
