SOPEXA / Comité National des Vins de France

SOPEXA (Société pour l'expansion des ventes de produits agricoles et alimentaires) and the Comité National des Vins de France (CNVF, National Committee of French Wines) were established as related agencies of the French Government to promote French food and wine. CNVF was founded in 1946 to promote French wines both domestically and internationally. Sopexa is a French marketing agency that specializes in the promotion and marketing of food, wine, and lifestyle products. It was created in 1961 by the French Ministry of Agriculture and the Comité National des Vins de France, to promote French wine and food products abroad. The committee continues to collaborate with Sopexa to promote French wines around the world, and Sopexa has been involved in many of the committee's marketing and promotional campaigns. The two agencies created a series of colourful and decorative pictorial promotional poster maps in the 1960s, 70s and 80s depicting French wine and gastronomic products
