Large scale map sheet of part of the City of York, England. The survey was conducted 1849 and 1851 by Captain Tucker R.E. for the Ordnance Map Office. The original map is drawn at a scale of five feet to one statute mile (1:1056). It is highly detailed showing, for instance, the layout of the pews in each church. The map was published in 21 separate sheets in September and October 1852. Each sheet was sold for 2 shillings. These map sheets are now very scarce

Packing

Items smaller than A4 size are usually packed in a stiffened, board-backed envelope. Larger items are rolled and packed in postal tubes. Large items which are too stiff to be rolled in wide-diameter tubes are mailed in all-board envelopes. In the unlikely event of damage in transit, please send the affected item or items back to us and we will provide a replacement or refund.
