Le Keux, John

John Le Keux (1783 – 1846), elder brother to Henry Le Keux (1787–1868), was a British engraver from a Huguenot family. Le Keux's engraved architectural plans and sections were published in John Britton & Augustus Welby Pugin's "Illustrations of the public buildings of London". He is perhaps best known today for his views of Oxford (in James Ingram's Memorials of Oxford), and of Cambridge in his self-published Memorials of Cambridge; some of his plates were later used in Charles Henry Cooper's volume of the same name. His town plans of Oxford and Cambridge are included below when available.
