The map covers Franconia and Swabia. The Rhine valley runs vertically down the left hand part of the map, and the Danube runs diagonally across the map from Regensburg at the centre of the right hand edge. The map covers the area between Fulda in the north to lake Constance in the south; Worms, Strasbourg and part of Alsace in the west to Regensburg.
