'The Underground Map of London' by London Underground Railways (1911). Antique London Underground system map, 20.0 x 26.5cm, 7.75 x 10.5 inches; Please note that this is a folding map.

One side displays 'The Underground Map of London'. The Underground railways are colour-coded and overprinted on a background map of roads and parks. The railways shown include the Waterloo & City Railway and the elevated electrics of the Brighton Railway. The Central London Railway extension from bank to Liverpool Street is shown as under construction (opened 28 July 1912) . The alignment of the railways has been simplified, so the map is not geographically accurate. On the back of the map (printed in green and brown), one panel forms the cover, and another is occupied by a Theatre Plan (map) and Key. Three panels are occupied by the Key to Places of Interest and Amusement; each place is assigned a number, which is shown on the map in a coloured shape. The sixth panel lists the nearest station to various shopping centres, churches and picture galleries
